Blokwev ("we", "us", or "our") is operated from Virginia, United States and serves users in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform at blokwev.com.

By using Blokwev, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account & Profile Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organization name (for business accounts). We store this in our database to authenticate you and personalize your experience.

Usage & Interview Data

We collect data generated through your use of the platform, including system design diagrams (canvas nodes and edges), session and assessment records, AI-generated review scores and feedback, and interview notes. For business accounts, this data is scoped to your organization.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details on our servers. We receive and store a Stripe Customer ID and Subscription ID to manage your billing status.

Communications

We send transactional emails (session invites, assessment links, welcome emails) via Resend to the email address associated with your account.

Analytics & Cookies

We use analytics tools to understand how the platform is used (e.g. page views, feature usage). We may use cookies or similar tracking technologies for session management and analytics. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Blokwev platform
• Authenticate users and manage organization access
• Generate AI-powered scoring and feedback for interviews and practice sessions
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send transactional emails related to your use of the platform
• Monitor for security incidents and prevent abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as necessary to operate the platform:

• Supabase — Database, authentication, and real-time infrastructure (hosted in the US)
• Stripe — Payment processing
• Resend — Transactional email delivery
• Anthropic — AI review and scoring generation (your canvas data is sent to Anthropic's API to produce feedback; Anthropic's data use policies apply)
• Daily.co — Video call infrastructure for live interview sessions
• Cloudflare — Hosting and edge delivery

We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Blokwev or its users.

Within business (B2B) accounts, organization administrators can view session data, assessment results, and AI review scores for all members of their organization.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or tax purposes.

Session diagrams, AI review records, and assessment data associated with your organization are retained for the duration of the account. Business account administrators may delete individual records at any time.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Row-level security (RLS) on all database tables
• JWT-based authentication for all API access
• All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
• Payment data handled exclusively by PCI-compliant Stripe infrastructure

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out of marketing: We do not send marketing emails; all emails are transactional

7. Children's Privacy

Blokwev is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
